What is QScrape Level 2?

QScrape Level 2 (L2) is a set of four single-page applications built with React, Vue, Svelte, and Solid. All content is rendered client-side via Astro client:only islands, so the raw HTML source is empty. Scrapers must execute JavaScript and wait for components to hydrate before extracting any data.

How does the L2 island shuffling work?

Each L2 page is divided into named slots. Every slot embeds one component per framework (React, Vue, Svelte, Solid), all hidden initially. An inline synchronous script runs a Fisher-Yates shuffle and reveals exactly one framework per slot, assigning a unique framework to each slot so all four appear on every page load. The active framework is recorded in the data-active-fw attribute on each slot element.

Do L2 sites have anti-bot protections?

Accepted Answer

No. L2 sites have no CAPTCHAs, rate limiting, or obfuscation techniques. The only challenge is that all content is rendered client-side and requires JavaScript execution — a headless browser or JS-aware scraper is needed. Anti-bot techniques are introduced at Level 3.

How long does L2 content take to load?

Every L2 island calls a simulated async gate (fakeGet) that resolves after a 300–550 ms delay. Scrapers must wait for all visible islands to settle before extracting data.
